Carina and Trent

August 29th, 2014

Location: Family Farm
Dress: J.Crew
Headband and Cake-Toppers: Vintage
Flowers: Family Friend
Hair: Amber Malinoski
Cake: Key's Cafe
Personal Chef: Abby Randall of Your Kitchen Accomplice

Carina and Trent chose to have an intimate ceremony at Carina's childhood home. In fact, it was the house her father grew up in as well. Upon entering, it was clear that this house held so many memories; undoubtedly, a special location for a wedding. The weather, like their engagement session, was a bit tumultuous! Because of rain, the ceremony moved indoors, to the living room. The glow of candles set the scene for one of the most intimate ceremonies I've ever photographed. Sweet and simple. The family hired a personal chef to cook a fantastic meal, including roasted chicken with a wine reduction, citrus shrimp skewers, prosciutto-date flat bread, and other goodies. Dessert... a decadent chocolate cake from Key's Cafe. The rain cleared just in time for the family to dine outdoors and enjoy a late August evening.

Kaitlyn and Fernando

Venue: The Dakota Lodge in West St. Paul
Flowers: Beth Henjum, Family Friend
Hair & Make-Up: Blowdry Blowdry Bar
Dress: David's Bridal
Caterer: Gastro Truck
Cupcakes: Kristin Basinger, Family Friend

Congratulations Kaitlyn and Fernando! This wedding was so beautiful and detail oriented- everything from the hand-written chalk board signs to the alpaca cake toppers. I loved how a simple piece of fabric, draped on a tree, created such a romantic backdrop for the ceremony. The surrounding woods and nearby lake made for some gorgeous pictures, especially at sun-set. All of Kaitlyn and Fernando's relatives and friends were so kind and welcoming- I truly enjoyed the experience of photographing their wedding. Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
