Another gorgeous wedding at the Eagle Ridge Resort in Lutsen, Minnesota! I love traveling Up North to photograph weddings, especially when the wedding involves gondola rides, scenic mountain views, and the refreshing breeze off Lake Superior. This venue is so beautiful. The weather was a bit cool and there was a heavy fog over Lake Superior, which made for some very artistic photographs down by the lake. Spring had arrived quite late this year, so all the beautiful mountain flowers were just blooming! I absolutely love the photos we took with the yellow wild flowers scattered all about. Congratulations Alyssa and Mike, it was wonderful working with you two! Also, a big Thank You to Amanda Gahler (A.Photographer) for her impeccable skills as my second shooter. Congratulations to Kelly and Andrew, who were married on June 12th! The day began as a drizzly and wet day, which made plans for taking outdoor pictures difficult. Luckily, the weather cleared around 8pm, perfect timing for one of the most gorgeous sunset photo shoots I've ever done! I love the sunset pictures so much, I decided to start off the blog posting with them. In photographer speak, we call this the Golden Hour: a beautiful wash of warm yellow light just before sundown. Kelly and Andrew were so in love on their wedding day, and it shows in their pictures! I had a great time photographing their wedding. Thanks also to An Nguyen, who assisted me that day!
